William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center officials proudly announced today the new Greenville Community-Based Outpatient Clinic opened its doors to Veterans on Aug. 19.

“We are extremely proud to open our newest world-class facility that will provide expanded health care for Veterans in the Upstate,” said Interim Medical Center Director Robert U. Hamilton.

The new approximately 78,000 sq. ft. leased clinic located on 41 Park Creek Drive in Greenville will serve some 18,000 outpatients through audiology, dental, dietetics, laboratory services, mental health, optometry, prosthetics, radiology, rehabilitation services, pharmacy, and primary care services.

“We used many innovations in designing this facility that will enhance our care to Veterans,” added Hamilton. “Importantly, we are focusing on the patient-centered care environment that includes open communications and ensures Veterans are directly involved in their own care.”

Officials noted that the clinic has other improvements like expanded on-site parking and a canteen where visitors can purchase food and drinks. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at a later date.
