Annual Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program

 

What:  Operation Stand Down 2015 is one part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide services to homeless Veterans.  

 

WhenNovember 6, 2015 @ 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

 

Who:  VA and Community Partners for the Homeless Veterans and Civilian Population in the Midlands.

 

Where:  Midlands Housing Alliance

               2025 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201

 

Why:  Stand Downs are collaborative events, coordinated between local VAs, other government agencies, and community agencies who serve the homeless.

 

How:  Stand Downs typically provide the following services to homeless individuals: food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, VA and Social Security benefits counseling, and referrals to a variety of other necessary services, such as housing, employment and substance abuse treatment.
