Post-9/11 Veterans Appreciation Night at Blowfish Baseball

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Transition and Care Management Office at the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center is hosting a veteran's appreciation and "welcome home" night at the Lexington County Stadium, home of Blowfish baseball, in Lexington on May 30 at 6 p.m.

All post-9/11 veterans, those having served during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, and their family members are invited to attend.  The COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Transition and Care Management Office at the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center is hosting a veteran's appreciation and "welcome home" night at the Lexington County Stadium, home of Blowfish baseball, in Lexington on May 30 at 6 p.m.

All post-9/11 veterans, those having served during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, and their family members are invited to attend.  The veterans and families who call to make reservations will receive free admission to the game and are welcome to reserved seating.  Guests will also receive a discount on food and drinks.  

"This is our way of thanking veterans for their service, and to honor them and their families' sacrifices," said Faela Maney the OEF/OIF/OND Program Manager for returning Veterans.  "We welcome Post-9/11 veterans to come and be our special guests for an evening of fun, food, and spending time with fellow veterans." 

Kids 12 and under can bring their own baseball gloves and play catch with the Blowfish players from 6:00 to 6:30.   

Dorn VA will also have a table staffed with subject-matter experts to provide information on benefits and access to VA services.
