Columbia VA Health Care System Chaplain Service "The Bridge to Your Spirituality."

The Columbia VA Health Care System Chaplain Service is the bridge to your spirituality. It is designed to help Veterans and Families regain a sense of hope, joy, peace, and strength, not only in times of crisis, but also in times of transition.

Worship Services Offered

The George J. Mitchell Chapel is located on the first floor, west wing of the main hospital, Building 100, across from the Patriot Café. It is open 24 hours a day. There is ample room for wheel chairs and a specialty chair bed.  Enter in for prayer, meditation; and to view inspirational slides to up lift your spirit.


9:30 a.m. - Ecumenical Worship Service - George J. Mitchell Chapel
11:00 a.m. - Ecumenical Worship Service – Recovery East, Bldg.106  2nd floor


10:00 a.m. - Mid-Week Devotional Service - Community Living Center (Santee/Congaree), Bldg.103 Activities Area 1st floor

The WJB Dorn VA Chaplain Service provides a variety of services and resources to help meet the spiritual needs of Veterans and their families. Each service takes a personal approach in developing a Veteran-centered framework that provides the basis for meeting the wellness needs and life goals of the Veteran.
