14th Annual Vets’ Christmas Charity Ride

December 9, 2014

On Dec. 14 the South Carolina community will gather atop hundreds of thunderous motorcycles, trikes and in vintage automobiles to bring needed donations and good will to the Veterans of the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center. 

Riders will meet at Carolina Honda Powerhouse parking lot, 901 Buckner Road, in Columbia. Food will be served by the Boy Scouts of America for donations from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The ride will depart for Dorn VA Hospital at 2:00 p.m. “rain or shine” according to the event flyer. 

Gift from the following list or cash donation and unwrapped gifts will be accepted. Gifts should be tagged with the contents and/or size. All gifts are tax deductible and the tax id number is 570-986-980. 

Items needed: Bath robes (L or XL sizes)  - warm socks - warm gloves - throw blankets – sweatshirts - sweat pants - t-shirts, underwear - scarfs – slippers - toiletry articles - cookies (without nuts) - gift cards - soft candy - small radios - back packs - phone cards - cash contributions- ball caps.
